Private school in Noida gets warning over RTE admissions
Noida: The basic education department has issued a notice to Fortune World School for failing to admit any economically weaker sections (EWS) category students under the RTE Act during this academic year.
It has now been warned to complete the admissions within a week and submit the list to the undersigned. Failure to comply will result in the withdrawal of the school's recognition.

Officials stated that despite repeated directives, the school did not enroll a single student under the mandated quota for the past two academic years.
The notice highlighted that a list of selected students for the 2025-26 academic session was provided to the school after approval from the district magistrate of GB Nagar. However, the school did not take any action to enroll these students.
School administration could not be reached despite multiple attempts by TOI.
Meanwhile, the district has seen compliance with the RTE Act, with around 2,000 admissions completed in 1,067 private schools this academic year.
